How to safely store your fresh parsley

Have you ever purchased a bunch of fresh herbs, (parsley) and realized you only need about 2 tbsp.? But have an entire bouquet left? You think to yourself ok, I’ll use this in the next few days and you toss it in the frig, only to forget about it and about two weeks later you find this wet, yellowing substance in a plastic bag at the bottom of your veggie drawer. Your intentions may have been good but like many we foget.

I have a solution, I know I know you’ve heard so many hacks about saving herbs, but this one actually works.

I learned this from my mom, she would take a clean mason jar, clip the leafy ends of the parsley, (without washing) and stuff them in the jar placing that jar in the frig. So when you need it, just reach in and grab what you need. I swear have had parsley in my jar now for about 4 weeks and it still is going strong.

Try it, you will be amazed, just remember to place a piece of masking tape on the top for a label, and date it.
